Q. When can you use a chocolate fountain?
A. Chocolate fountains are great for any social gathering; for example, private birthday parties, anniversary parties, christenings, corporate events (such as opening events, staff conferences, product promotions) and wedding receptions. A chocolate fountain makes a perfect wedding cake or finale to a wedding reception evening buffet.

Q. What type of chocolate is used?
A. We only use Belgian Curvature chocolate with a high cocoa content. This gives the best taste, colour and flow.

Q. Do you have different types of chocolate?
A. Yes, you can choose from White, Milk, Dark and now even flavoured chocolate like Orange. Just ask us when ordering. We will always presume Milk if not stated.

Q. Can we hire a chocolate fountain without an operator?
A. No, we prefer to accompany our fountains with an operator. If unattended, the flow of the chocolate may deteriorate making it less inviting. Since we also clean the chocolate fountain the whole experience is much easier for the renter.

Q. Will the fountain make a mess?
A. No, our staff are on hand all the way through your event, helping guests and cleaning up as they go.

Q. How does the chocolate fountain work?
A. The base of the fountain is heated. When all of the chocolate is melted a motor turns a large corkscrew lifting the chocolate to the top. When the chocolate reaches the top it cascades over the tiers.

Q. Can a fountain be used outside?
A. No. The fountain must be protected from airborne insects/particles and kept away from any breeze that may distort or cool its flow.

Q. Can you burn yourself on the chocolate?
A. No. The chocolate temperature that is maintained by the fountain cannot cause harm.

Q. Does the chocolate contain nuts?
A. The chocolate comes with a warning that it may contain nuts.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We take a 25% deposit to secure your fountain booking. The balance is payable by cheque 2 weeks before the event or cash on the day.

Q. Will I have to pay a delivery charge?
A. If your venue is within 100 miles of Manchester then no. We will however charge a delivery charge if your venue is further away. We will include this in any quotation we give you.

Q. How long will the Chocolate Fountain run for?
A. The Chocolate Fountain will run as long as you want! Providing you have an electricity supply and order enough chocolate to keep it topped up. We base all our prices on a hire of 4hrs, you can, of course, extend this for an additional charge per hour.

Q. How long will it take to set up the Chocolate Fountain?
A. The Chocolate Fountain usually takes about 1 hour depending on package ordered and weather or not we are supplying the dipping foods.

Q. Will my venue need to supply a table and tablecloth?
A. Yes, we do prefer a table and tablecloth to be provided for us to sit the Chocolate Fountain, approx 4' diameter is ideal. Nowadays most venues will know what to do if you let them know we are coming.

Q. Can we supply our own dips?
A. Yes you can. That is why we charge for our dips separately. However, please do check that the dips you would like are suitable for a chocolate fountain.

Q. Do you have public Liability Insurance and Food Hygiene Certification?
A. Yes. We have full Liability Insurance cover and Food Hygiene Certification is required by all our employees.

Q. Will my venue allow me to have a Chocolate Fountain?
A. We have never been refused entry by any venue yet!

Q. What do you do with any leftover chocolate?
A. At the point when your rental time expires we will pour the remaining chocolate into a bowl, leave any dips that haven’t been used, clean up and leave it nicely presented for your guests to continue to enjoy.

Q. Can I book a longer rental period?
A. Yes, we can arrange for a longer rental period, at extra costs.
